Parking Restaurants
Note: Parking rates are subject to

Please be aware that sidewalks along
South First (between San Carlos and Williams Street) will be under
construction till June 2009, and that traffic congestion will increase.
Please plan accordingly.
Valley Parking Lot:
300 space, surface lot located directly across
the street from the main entrance of the California Theatre.
Entrance on Second Street between San Carlos and San Salvador Streets.
Five handicapped parking spots available. Hours: 7 a.m. to
11 p.m. (for entry, you may leave at any time; overnight parking
available upon request). Rates: $1.50 per 30 minutes; $15 maximum.
After 5 p.m., Sunday-Wednesday: $6; After 5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, $7.
Convention Center Garage:
Entrance on Market Street between San Carlos and San Salvador streets.
Hours: Open on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week. Rates:
$18 maximum per day.
Agenda/Zoe Parking Lot:
The
Agenda/Zoe parking lot on San Salvador between Market and First offers night and weekend parking
at 50 cents per 20
minutes,
up to $18 per day (and a day begins at 6 a.m.), unless there's a special
day-fee rate in place for an event at the Convention Center.
Park Center Plaza
Garage: Entrance on Park Avenue between Almaden Boulevard and
Market Street. Rates: $6 after 5 p.m. (M-F) and throughout
weekends.
AMPCO Block 8 Lot:
Entrance on Market Street immediately north of San Carlos.
Rates: $7 after 6 p.m. (M-F) and throughout weekends.
Valet parking is
available at the Fairmont Hotel ($22), the Marriott Hotel ($18) and the
Hyatt Sainte Claire ($9 for 3-8 hours).
Handicapped parking:
Handicap-permit parking for the California Theatre is available on
both Market and First streets at the entrance to the theatre.
Important note re: all
city-owned lots and garages:
Downtown visitors must now pay a
$2 fee after 6 pm in all city-owned parking lots and garages
except the lot under I-280 at South First Street and the lot
at Almaden/Balbach, which will still be free nights and
weekends. Revenues support increased maintenance and safety
in the facilities, and to develop future parking supply
downtown.Drivers
downtown will find $2 parking after 6 pm at these facilities:
- Third Street lot between The
88 and Repertory Theater
- Market and San Pedro Garage
- Third Street Garage
- Fourth and St. John Garage
- Second and San Carlos Garage
- Second and San Fernando lot
- Fourth Street Garage
- First and St. James lot
- Second and St. James lot
- Pavilion Garage
There are still ways to park
FREE downtown. Many of the garages and lots listed will be
free from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Drivers can
also obtain two-hour free parking with validations from
businesses for most of these garages. In addition, many of
them accept cinema validations. For more information
